Car Hire Surfers Paradise

Surfers Paradise Ð Australia

Australia is the sixth largest country in the world Its about the same size as the 48 mainland states of the USA and 50 per cent larger than Europe, but has the lowest population density in the world - only two people per square kilometre
Australia lies between the Pacific and Indian oceans. Its capital Canberra is in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) between New South Wales and Victoria. Australia is made up of six states and two territories. Each state and territory has its own parliament, flag and floral emblem. Australia became a federated nation after the union of the six colonies on 1 January 1901. Bound by one parliament, one constitution and one flag.

Queensland Australia is one of the worlds great vacation destinations. Where else can you enjoy the Great Barrier Reef, Australia's amazing Outback, World Heritage Rainforest and the Aussie beach culture. Queensland is big it Covers 1.8 million kilometres or 700,000 miles. This is AustraliaÕs second largest State and covers more than a quarter of AustraliaÕs total area. Brisbane is the StateÕs capital city and is located in South-East Queensland.

With the warm Pacific Ocean on one side, the deep blue Nerang River on the other, and more shops, high rise resorts and attractions squeezed in between than probably any other peninsula in earth - Surfers Paradise is the undisputed tourist capital of Australia, and some would argue the world. Surfers Paradise has become famous as Australia's most popular holiday destination. With world famous surf beaches, international standard accommodation and exciting attractions, Surfers Paradise has an enormous amount of attractions to offer holidaymakers. Of course, the key attraction is main beach, Australia's most iconic beach.

If you're seeking a surfing paradise, you may think you've finally found the elusive place. But the name "Surfers Paradise" relates more to the social life surrounding the beach than the actual surfing itself. Main Beach at Surfers Paradise does have good left and right breaks though, which are always occupied with keen surfers from around the world.
Surfers Paradise is a wonderful spot. It is one of Australia's most popular beach, and more photos have been taken of this developed piece of coastline than any other beach in Queensland. But they don't call it 'Surfers Paradise' for nothing, so it's not surprising the main draw card is the 150m wide stretch of sand that extends for almost 10kilometres in each direction. The water has excellent waves for surfing and the beach is patrolled year round and it's safe to swim.

Surfers Paradise Main Beach is not ideal for fishing the high numbers of visitors to the beach have scared all the fish away.
Surfers is home to many attractions, including everything from bungee jumping and mini ice skating to the Indy 300. There are also countless restaurants, night clubs and bars to spend the night. Holiday makers are attracted to the neon lights, endless high rise buildings, golden sand, sunny atmosphere and laid-back lifestyle. You can be comfortable in a tuxedo eating at a five star restaurant or walking down the street in your bathers.
