Located in the south east, bordered by South Australia and New South Wales, Victoria is also known as "The Garden State" its landscape consists of mountains, rainforests, deserts, snowfields, beaches, vineyards, wheatlands and market gardens. The Australian Alps are only three hours away from Melbourne and the Great Ocean Road to South Australia is a dayŐs drive. Victoria has 32 national parks, amounting to a third of AustraliaŐs total. There are many things to do in the state of Victoria, Firstly visiting its Capital Melbourne which is based on the coastline of Australia, with is huge Port Philip Bay you have the Great Ocean Road winding through Victoria with a beautiful Coastal Scenery. You also have many National parks, Victoria also is home to the mining towns of Ballarat and Bendigo. Victoria is not known for the best weather but does receive its fair share of sunshine.
